Real Estate: 1 New Listing, 0 Open Houses, 4 Price Changes

One more sign of how Verona real estate is changing in the COVID-19 pandemic: virtual open houses. Last month, the state banned in-person open houses, and local real estate offices switched to video conferencing technology like Zoom to show houses one-on-one. Now, several properties on the New Jersey Multiple Listing Service database are displaying virtual video tours.

Some are available all the time. That includes listings like 1 Claridge Drive #114, which could portend a significant change for the Claridge condominium towers because they expressly ban in-person open houses. Some are scheduled showings, like 10 Overlook Park, a mansion on the Verona-Montclair border that will have a Facebook Live tour on Sunday, May 24, from 3 to 4 p.m. So, check with your agent to see what they are doing to show the properties you are considering.

1 Claridge Drive #624: 1 bed, 1 1/2 bath condo in full-service high-rise building. NYC views.  Price cut $36,900 to $238,000.

36 Martin Road: 4 beds, 3 baths. Renovated 2019, open kitchen. Price cut another $35,000 to $665,000.

3 Kips Ridge #C0003: 5 beds, 6 baths. Townhouse with wraparound deck, 1st-floor master. Price cut $94,000 to $875,000.
