To the Editor:
With all our concerns, fears and questions during the COVID-19 pandemic, I take comfort that at least my family and town are in the steady, smart hands of Congresswoman Mikie Sherrill.
Representative Sherrill has been out front, fighting to keep FEMA, fighting to get PPE to our emergency and healthcare workers, and fighting for increased funding for New Jersey and our local governments. From her very first day in office she committed to listening to her constituents. Her recent town halls have allowed those with questions about their economic fate–unemployment insurance, anxiety about their small businesses—-to tell her what is most needed and to get the most up to date information. She has spoken daily with hospital and health officials, keeping us safe and working to ensure that those on the front lines are supported.
Mikie proves that real strength is a fierce compassion and commitment to helping others when they need it most.
