When we ended the “Where In Verona Is It?” reboot on January 23, we promised you we’d be back. Photographer Fred Goode has had too much fun stumping you with pictures of places around town for the past decade. We just didn’t think the world would change so drastically.
Because of the outbreak of the novel coronavirus COVID-19, we no longer can go into many of the locations Fred photographed for the reboot and the original “Where In Verona Is It?” contest. But they still exist, and they are waiting for their customers to return.
What to do? Photograph what can be photographed, of course: their doors. Fred has gone all over town photographing doors and your job now is to guess where he was. We’re going to be posting a new location every day for at least the next 40 days, and you’ll need to post your guess in the comments section of the story below. And unlike our previous contests, some of these locations may have been featured in previous contests.
What’s in it for you? A gift certificate. MyVeronaNJ.com is spending $1,000 to buy gift certificates from Verona businesses, and one will be given to every winner. To keep things twisted, the day’s gift certificate won’t match the location photographed, so we can tell you that the winner of today’s location will be getting a gift certificate from Academy Apparel.
Now for the rules: Each day’s contest will remain open until we have a winner. So keep checking back and guessing. And if you win once, you can’t win again.
Love this idea! Is it Dr. Greco at 304 Bloomfield?
Corner of malvern and Bloomfield Ave Essex Dental Arts
Well that was faster than expected. Yes, it’s Essex Dental Arts. You win April 11, Patrick.
Mary, Patrick Danzuso beat you out by 4 minutes. Better luck tomorrow!

Yes, you are correct. Dr. Martino passed away in 2015; not sure where Dr. Lewcyk now is.

Yup, originally this building was a bank. Dr. Lewcyk retired several years back and the practice is now Dr. Greco’s
