The Verona Foundation for Educational Excellence (VFEE) has had to postpone its annual toast to Verona teachers because of the outbreak of the novel coronavirus COVID-19. But Verona’s teachers are continuing to teach their classes remotely and VFEE hopes students and parents will thank them for their efforts during this difficult time.
Nick Klose, VFEE’s chairperson, explains the challenge in this video:
You can join the #vfeechallenge by sharing your video on an inspiring teacher to [email protected] or tagging VFEE’s social media.

VFEE, which was founded a decade ago, solicits donations to fund grants to teachers to enhance the educational experiences of Verona’s children. In addition to individual classroom grant awards, VFEE also funds major projects that enable a school, a department, or team access to larger cash awards to further enhance a particular educational initiative.
