First Presbyterian Church of Verona located at 10 Fairview Avenue is having its second annual partnership with radio station Star 99.1 to collect socks and hand or foot warmers to help the homeless.

Last year the church collected over 400 pairs of new, warm socks for homeless children and adults.

This year the church’s Teens+ group is running the drive and they would like to break that record and help even more.

Warm socks are one of the most needed items in homeless shelters. This year First Presbyterian is also collecting hand or foot warmers which can be found in most Drug stores, or sporting goods stores.

Donations can be dropped off in the bin with the Sock Drive flyer on it by the parking lot entrance. The drive runs to March 3.
