The Verona Police want you to know that there is no overnight street parking Sunday night, December 1. If you have nowhere else to park, you can use a metered spot in the municipal lot behind the former Terry’s Drug Store near H.B. Whitehorne Middle School.

To stay on top of all snow and traffic alerts this winter, think about signing up for the Police Department’s free Nixle service. Details here or simply text Verona’s zip code, 07044, to 888777 for mobile alerts.

The National Weather Service has put a winter weather advisory in place for our area until 7 a.m. on Tuesday, December 3. A mix of snow and rain is expected, with total snow accumulations of two to four inches and a light glaze of ice. The NWS says you should plan on slippery road conditions.
