Forest Avenue School’s third grade Brownie troop 20528 is hosting a toy drive this holiday season for kids in need in our community.

The troop is asking that new, unwrapped toys be dropped off in its donation box at the Learning Express toy store at 643 Bloomfield Avenue. Or, take advantage of the deals on Black Friday and Small Business Saturday at Learning Express, shop local, and help kids all at the same time!

The troop will be collecting toys until Friday, December 13, for delivery of the gifts to local organizations and the children by Christmas. Just some of the kids/groups the troop hopes to help this year are: Department of Child Protection & Permanency offices for children in foster care and families who are receiving services from the New Jersey state agency, low-income families in our area who need a little extra help this year, Jersey Battered Women’s Services courtesy of Sen. Joe Pennacchio’s 26th district legislative office.

The more we collect the more we can help!
