Julia Rigney, who graduated Verona High School with the class of 2018, attends Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh, N.Y. now and she would like the help of her Verona community with a community service project there.

Rigney has started a drive to help animals at the Humane Society of Walden, a no-kill shelter dedicated to helping stray and abandoned cats and dogs. Walden is just a few miles west of the Mount Saint Mary campus.

Rigney is looking to gather pet food, old blankets, old towels, pet toys and the like, but you won’t have to drive them up to Newburgh. Simply drop your donations off at her family’s house at 75 Elmwood Road in Verona and they will get them to her.
