Vajda Honored By AARP For Community Service

John Vajda, a Verona resident since 1987, has received AARP New Jersey’s 2019 Community Engagement Award. Vajda has been an AARP volunteer since 2011, and currently serves as a Community Outreach Volunteer Lead, Volunteer Lead Trainer (VOLT) and a Congressional Volunteer Corps Lead (CVC) for the 11th Congressional district. In addition, he is a driver safety instructor with over 125 classes to his credit.

In the past, he was a founding member of Verona L!ve, a group dedicated to provide activities to Verona’s seniors and represented Verona’s seniors on the Verona Municipal Alliance Committee (VMAC).
