Mr. Nikolaos G. Maroulis, 74, died on September 25, 2019 at the Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville. Visiting will be in the Prout Funeral Home, 370 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona, on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 from 4 to 7 p.m. with a service to be held at 6:30 p.m.

Born in Episkopi, Greece, Mr. Maroulis moved to the United States in 1961 at the young age of 16. He lived in Bloomfield and Verona for 25 years before moving to Caldwell in 1996.

Mr. Maroulis was the owner of Fire Master Rebuilders, which later became N.G.M. Construction. A dedicated man with a strong work ethic, he worked from 1972 until the present. Mr. Maroulis also served in the Greek Merchant Marine for four years.

He always prioritized his family above all else and was staunchly proud of his children and grandchildren. The “glue” to his family, Mr. Maroulis will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was predeceased by his parents, George and Vasiliki Maroulis and his brother, Vasilios G. Maroulis.

Mr. Maroulis is survived his loving wife, Josephine (nee Harding) Maroulis; daughter, Valentina W. Maroulis-Amoriello (Quint); sons, George N. Maroulis (Michelle) and Billy N. Maroulis (Jill); sisters, Evangeline Vasilakis, Loukia G. Oikonomou and Ioanna G. Liotos; grandchildren, Nick Amoriello (Alexa) and Alexia Amoriello, Niko & Gianna Maroulis, George & Faith Maroulis and Kayleigh Maroulis, and Billy Maroulis, Nicolle Maroulis and Joe Maroulis and one great-grandchild on the way.
