Betty Krasner, formerly of Verona, died at age 97 surrounded by friends and family on July 11, 2019 in Seattle.

Betty was born in Newark and graduated from Douglass College (now part of Rutgers University). She moved to Green Acres apartments on Bloomfield Avenue around 1946. She subsequently lived on Fairway Avenue and, after a 4 or 5 year gap, moved back to the Claridge House in Verona, living there until around 2010.

Betty was active in the League of Women Voters, PTA and many other Verona activities. She is survived by her sons, Robert and Kenneth, both of whom attended Verona schools up through high school.
