UPDATE: The event is being moved inside Town Hall because of a threat of thunderstorms.
Rep. Mikie Sherrill (D-NJ11), who represents Verona in Congress, will hold one of her “Monday With Mikie” gatherings in Verona on Monday, August 19, from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m.
The “Monday with Mikie” events, which have been held all over the district since Sherrill took office in January, are less formal than the congresswoman’s town halls. They offer an opportunity to meet with Rep. Sherrill and her district office staff. The Verona event will be held in front of the municipal building in the center of town. Her office says that anyone interested in attending should bring a lawn chair for the Q&A part of the session; there will also be a tent set up for anyone who has a question for the congresswoman’s Casework Team.
Rep. Sherrill does not have a town hall scheduled during Congress’ summer recess, which lasts until Monday, September 9.
Rep. Sherrill’s Casework Team will also have open hours in Wayne every other Wednesday from August 7 to September 18. The team will provide constituent services and help residents navigate federal agencies. The congresswoman’s Parsippany district office at 8 Wood Hollow Road, and her Washington, D.C. office in the House of Representative’s Longworth building are open every weekday. For more events, see Rep. Sherrill’s Facebook page.
