With the council election drawing near, I’m compelled to once again support Deputy Mayor Michael Nochimson. I have supported Michael in the past two elections and I’m delighted to do so again knowing that our town is in good hands. Michael earns my respect for the fiscal responsibility he has shown over the past two terms. When elected 8 years ago, Michael promised to account for every dollar on the budget, and he has not waivered in that promise. Town residents should know that Michael voted “no” in 2019’s budget increase, and has voted the same for the past seven (7) years. While some on the council would see no problem in raising taxes year after year, Michael’s approach to is to find ways to cut wasteful spending and streamline services without putting a burden on the taxpayers with additional increases. For the past 8 years, he has fought tooth and nail to improve township affairs, has been a defender and great advocate for Verona taxpayers, has shown great leadership in financial responsibility, and has renewed credibility and trust in our town council. Please join me on May 14th and vote line 3A for Michael Nochimson. As the old saying goes, you don’t take a winning horse out of a race…at least not this race!
