To the Editor:

I am writing to express my support for John Quattrocchi for Verona Town Council. He has all of the necessary experience and is well suited for this role.

I first met John Q about 10 years ago during my time as Forest Avenue School’s BOE liaison. For years I attended every BOE meeting. I found a lot of the discussion focused around VHS and wasn’t always relevant to my children at the elementary school. So, I started speaking and asking questions regularly during the public comment portion of the meetings. John always listened and provided a thoughtful, well-constructed response. And if he couldn’t answer my questions, he would find out and follow up with me. The more I knew, the more I questioned and before long, I had John on speed dial! Not only was he open to dialogue, but he encouraged it. He is a people person and a problem solver. He offered a listening ear, compassion, rebuttals, and empathy where and when it was needed.

Working with John was one of the reasons that I eventually ran for the BOE. Sitting alongside him for 3 years was a privilege. John knows how to get things done. And while John and I didn’t always agree, we listened to one another and always respected each other. It is one of the things that I admire most about him. When I think of John, the following words come to mind: professional, hard-working, community, respect, driven, family, intelligent. I can’t think of a better person to succeed in this role for Verona. His 15 years of work with the BOE has made our schools stronger. I am confident he could do the same for our township. I hope you will come out and meet John before voting day. Ask him the difficult questions…he’s prepared!

Warm Regards,
