The Verona Democratic Municipal Committee will host its first Spring Mixer and Fundraiser on Thursday, May 9 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Blue Hippo Coffee Co. in Verona.
Tickets are $50 in advance and $55 at the door. Appetizers and beverages will be included.
Proceeds will benefit two Verona High School senior scholarships this June for students who demonstrated outstanding public service during their high school years and intend to study related fields in college. Municipal candidates will be there to mingle and say a few words. (Verona’s non-partisan Town Council elections are Tuesday, May 14.)
Payment in advance is via PayPal. The organizers are asking that all those who wish to attend RSVP with names of guests to [email protected].
Blue Hippo is located at 662 Bloomfield Ave., just west of Grove.
