Kids Service Group Celebrates Kindness

Verona Kids Rock, which was created to help elementary school children to do community service, hosted a Kindness Fashion show on Sunday, March 24 at the Verona Community Center, and more than 50 children turned out to celebrate kindness.

When the children walked down the runway, they shared a random act of kindness they achieved this year. “These kids felt proud, happy and confident in the simple things they shared with others,” said Dina Lilley, one of the parents who leads the group. “It taught the lesson of love, and what’s most important in how you look on the inside.”

Verona Kids Rock also used the event to recognize the Verona Police Department, the Fire Department, and Town Council, as well as doctors, teachers, coaches, troop leaders, and others who give a lot of their time for their community.
