In anticipation of a large crowd expected on Wednesday, March 6, for the 1 p.m. funeral of Fred Hill at Our Lady of the Lake Church, Prout Funeral Home has created a parking guide:
If you are handicapped or have mobility issues, use the parking lot in the rear of the church (off Montrose Avenue). There is a ramp into the church. You can circle the block after mass if you want to join the procession to Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.
If you will be attending the mass, but do not plan to go to the cemetery, please park on the east side of Lakeside (next to Verona Park) or in the municipal lot off Park Place (directly across from the end of Lakeside Avenue)
If you would like to join the procession to the cemetery, please park in the church lot on Lakeside Avenue. You will place your car in line immediately upon arrival. The procession will be guided by the Verona Police Department and State Police as it travels to East Hanover. Gate of Heaven Cemetery is located at 225 Ridgedale Avenue in East Hanover.
