With the reopening of the Verona Public Library, the Friends of the Library are now accepting donations of gently used books for their book sale fundraiser. But there’s a twist: In addition to the annual book sale in December at Fair in the Square, the Friends will also have books for sale every day in the library lobby near the circulation desk.

Here’s how to donate: Enter the library from the back entrance on Gould Street and take the elevator to the lower level. The library has placed drop-off carts at the end of the hallway on the right. The Friends of the Library say that they are especially in need of children’s books, and that DVDs, CDs and video games are also accepted. Please don’t donate textbooks, or VHS and cassette tapes.

The Friends also appreciate new members and volunteers for sorting and organizing throughout the year and at the book sales. If you have any questions or interest in volunteering, please contact [email protected]
