Whose words these are I think I know.
No name is on this paper though;
I cannot read the writing here.
I think and drink my coffee slow.
My old red pen must think it’s clear
I only grade when deadlines near.
With all this work I think I’ll miss
The “This is Us” season premiere.
I give my new Fitbit a shake
To see if there is some mistake.
I’ve only made one thousand steps?
I wish that I could take a break.
My bed’s one lovely, soft, white heap
But I have promises to keep
And piles to grade before I sleep
