Conference Honors For VHS Athletes

The fall sports season is over, but not the accolades for Verona High School athletes. The All-Conference honors, which are decided by the coaches in each division, were released for soccer, volleyball and cross country.

In volleyball, Hunter Coppola, Brooke Cooney and Nicolette Marino were all named 1st Team All-American Division. Daniela Trujillo received 2nd Team, and Kelly Waterman and Kate Ryan received Honorable Mention.

In girls soccer, Lara Tole was named 1st Team All-Liberty Division, while Ally Madigan and Sarah Carlucci received 2nd Team honors. Colleen Whelan and Gabriella Montagna both received Honorable Mention.

In boys soccer, Jake Weber and Christian Campos each earned a spot on 1st Team All-Liberty. Aidan Murphy and Grady Short made 2nd Team, and Declan Maisano and Jerry Strippoli received Honorable Mention.

In girls cross country, Julia DiGeronimo, Jenika Ying and Bridget O’Donnell were named 2nd Team in the American Division. Veronica Valera and Annalie Ying received Honorable Mention.

In boys cross country, David Navarro was named 2nd Team American Division, and Chris Robinson and Michael Maglione received Honorable Mention.
