Verona township officials have posted a job opening for a sewage plant operator position. Duties include the operation of the wastewater treatment facility, collection system, mechanical repair and other duties as assigned.
The work week is 35-hours on Monday to Friday, Tuesday to Saturday or Sunday to Thursday as determined by management. College degree/credits and wastewater or collection system licenses or experience are preferred but not required.
This position requires emergency response as needed. The applicant must also be prepared to respond to the facility for after-hour emergencies within 30 minutes.
A Commercial Driver’s License valid in New Jersey is preferred, and an Introduction to Water and Wastewater course must be completed within one year of hire. The salary for this position is $41,379 to $47,617.
