Mr. Pete Parsels, 73, died on October 18, 2018 in Glen Ridge. Friends may visit with the family at the Prout Funeral Home, 370 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona, on Wednesday, October 24 from 5 to 8 p.m. This would have been Petey’s 74th birthday. Interment services will be private.

Born in Hazleton, Pa., Pete grew up in Verona and lived in Stockton, Calif. before returning to Verona in 1985.

He graduated from Verona High School and the Pennsylvania Military College, where he played football and baseball.

Pete was a sales rep in the plumbing supply business prior to owning the Anna Capri Pizzeria in Verona. Pete was known for his love of family and friends and greeted everyone with a huge smile. He loved traveling and great food, telling great stories of many adventures.

He was the father of Richard Paul Parsels and Richard Page Parsels, the brother of Richard Benedict Parsels and Philip R. Parsels, and the dear life-partner of Antoinette Lanzo.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Market Street Mission 9 Market Street, Morristown, NJ 07960 would be appreciated. Pete had a great heart volunteering at the Mission in their food services department for a number of years after Anna Capri. Thank you.
