Mr. Dominick C. Testa, 95, died on October 2, 2018 in Fairfield, N.J. Visiting in the Prout Funeral Home, 370 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona, will be on Monday, October 8 from 4 to 8 p.m. A funeral mass will be offered in Our Lady of the Lake Church, Verona, on Tuesday at 10 a.m.

Born and raised in Newark, Mr. Testa has lived in Verona since 1977.

Mr. Testa was the owner of Testa’s Market, a butcher shop on Warren Street in Newark for many years.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, was an usher at Our Lady of the Lake Church and a lifelong lover of the beach and surf fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Testa; his children Nicholas Testa (Cindy), Robert Testa (Shelly), Melinda Burns (Russell), and Mary Gough (Damon); and his grandchildren Nicole Testa, Christina Testa, Michael Testa, Ashleigh Burns, Emily Burns and Aidan Gough.

He is also the brother of Joseph Testa, Madeline Ciffelo, the late Cosmo, the late Benjamin, the late Gino and the late Louise Perillo.

In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital would be appreciated.
