Verona Yoga and the Verona Mayor’s Wellness Campaign are bringing back Yoga in the Park this month. Classes will run in Verona Park every Wednesday beginning August 8 at 6:30 p.m. There’s a $5 fee to participate and you should register online here.
All levels of yogis are welcome to join the classes. Participants should meet at the corner of Lakeside and Bloomfield Avenues, and the 45-minute classes will be held under the trees at the north end of the park.
Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothes, and bring water and a yoga mat, although some mats will be available for those who don’t have their own.
A portion of the proceeds from Yoga in the Park will be donated to Sustainable Verona, a volunteer committee that is working on ways to make Verona more environmentally friendly. Participants will also receive a free reusable Sustainable Verona tote bag to help reduce plastic bag pollution in Verona.
Classes start promptly at 6:30 p.m.
