Retired Elizabeth health and physical education teacher Betty Kidon, 70, (nee Lombardi) of Bloomfield, formerly of Montclair, passed away at home on July 26, 2018. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 30, at the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Montclair. Cremation will be private.

Betty, a 1966 graduate of Verona High School, was a physical education and health teacher for the Elizabeth public school system from 1994 to 2013. Prior to that, she worked in the Mountain Lakes, Ridgewood, and Totowa public school systems.

Betty is survived by her children, John Kidon and his wife, Trish, and Kristin LaBatt and her husband, David; her sisters, Carol Wickham and Barbara Tserkis, and her grandchildren, Brady, Ryan, Brooklyn and Alexander. She was predeceased by her husband, John, in 2013, and by her parents, Louis and Florence Lombardi.
