Verona Yoga invites the local community to join in the celebration of Independent Retailer Month with an open house event on July 21, from 4 to 6 p.m. The event welcomes a range of local entrepreneurs and retailers to showcase their business including Greenpoint Juicery, Love Carolyn Products, Gallery Sitka, Sweat and Strut, healing crystal jewelry by Julia Sheykman along with Reiki demonstrations.
Independent Retailer Month is a shop local campaign that runs annually throughout July encouraging consumers to shop at independent retailers; highlighting their positive social and economic impact – locally, nationally and globally. The movement encourages people to shop independent retail year round and to use July as a time to celebrate the independent retailers that help build our economy; creating more sustainable cities, towns and communities.
Lisa Munjack and Donna Fauerbach of Verona Yoga agreed, saying that “as small business owners, we are thrilled to open our doors to the indie retail community, helping to support these hard-working entrepreneurs. We can’t wait to share some of our favorite things with you, in our serene studio.”
Kerry Bannigan, co-creator of Independent Retailer Month shares, “I am grateful to small businesses like Verona Yoga that open their doors to the community – not only local residents but to fellow entrepreneurs and retailers in the true spirit of Independent Retailer Month. The founders aim to connect consumers to brands and businesses that they like welcoming them to shop a variety of brands and meet local business owners.”
