Mrs. Carol (nee Rademacher) Koenig, 80, died on May 13, 2018 at her home in Montclair. Visiting in the Prout Funeral Home, 370 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona will be on Thursday, May 17 from 4 to 8 p.m. Services will be held in Our Lady of the Lake Church, Verona on Friday at 10:30 a.m.

Born in Newark, Mrs. Koenig grew up in Verona and lived in Essex Fells, Vermont and North Carolina prior to moving to Montclair.

She was a very talented artist using watercolor, pencil & acrylics.

Mrs. Koenig also enjoyed decorating, her book clubs, knitting, golf and spending time with her granddaughters.

Mrs. Koenig is the wife of Charles R. Koenig, the mother of Charles R. Koenig, Jr., Laura Harrington (Noel O’Keeffe), Jeffrey Koenig (Eveleen Serrano Koenig) and the sister of Nancy Hobart and Marlene Kleindenst. She is also survived by her granddaughters, Amber, Brooke, Avery and Sydney.

She was predeceased by her parents, Wilford and Catherine Rademacher, her brother Robert Rademacher and her sister, MarySue Fredericks.

In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959 would be appreciated.
