If you were thinking of doing some spring training on Verona’s track today and tomorrow, you’ll have to make other plans.
Verona High School’s athletic director has just sent out word that the track behind H.B. Whitehorne Middle School will be closed on Friday and Saturday for repairs. The work was to have started at 2 p.m., but the repair crews have already arrived on the scene. The HBW infield and basketball court are also off limits while the work is going on.
The track complex will reopen on Sunday morning.
