Torikian Leads Boys To 13-0 Win

boys lacrosseIt was cold and windy on Sellitto Field Thursday afternoon but Charlie Torikian brought the heat as the Verona High School boys lacrosse team defeated Pompton Lakes 13-0.

Torikian, a junior, scored four of Verona’s goals, while Matt DiDia and Trevor Spinelli scored two each. Matt Aldiero, Jarrod Keating, Chris Sabo and Jerry Strippoli had one each, and Aldiero led the team in ground balls with five. Zach Balough and Patrick Yeates had three ground balls each.

The win improves Verona’s record to 1-2 this season. The team travels to Millburn on Saturday.
