The Verona Park Conservancy and Sustainable Verona are postponing their planned cleanup of the lake in Verona Park until Saturday, April 14. The groups say the rescheduling was prompted by the recent storms, which have left the park with snow and dangling branches. The April cleanup will be held from 9 to 11 a.m.

On the day of the cleanup, volunteers should meet at the south end of the park, near the entrance on Park Avenue and Hathaway Lane. You will need to sign and bring this waiver, and you should bring your own water. If you have a net with handle or a leaf rake to remove litter from the shore line please bring it, too. The Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission is donating gloves and trash bags, and the Conservancy will have grabber tools, long handled nets and a rowboat.
