Jack FarrellJack Farrell, a 2017 graduate of Verona High School who played on VHS’ state championship basketball team, is continuing his winning ways at college. Now in his first year at Middlebury College, Farrell was the high scorer with 19 points as the Middlebury Panthers beat Eastern Connecticut State 83-58 on Saturday to advance to the Sweet 16 of the 2018 NCAA Basketball Tournament.

The win moves the 18th-ranked Panthers into the third round of the tournament for the second straight season. Better news still: Middlebury’s NCAA Tournament Sectional semifinal against MIT will be played at Ramapo College this Friday, March 9, at 5:30 p.m. If you can’t get to Ramapo in person, which is only a 40-minute drive from Verona–you can watch the game live here.

You can read the full story on Farrell’s performance in the Eastern Connecticut State game on Middlebury’s website.
