Verona’s Sean Sullivan is $15,000 richer thanks to a dominating appearance on Jeopardy! this evening.

The show started off as a bit of a nail-biter for Sullivan, a financial advisor who serves on Verona’s Board of Adjustment, as the other two contestants were faster on the buzzer. But nailing the question to an answer about the Leslie Nielsen movie Police Squad seemed to open the floodgates for him. Sullivan’s winnings stood at $5,000 at the end of the Jeopardy round, well ahead of the other contestants.

He roared out of the start of the Double Jeopardy round with a series of correct questions on movies that begin with the letter B. Sullivan had only one wrong question in the round, but a $3,000 bet on a Daily Double helped push his winnings to $18,000 before the Final Jeopardy answer was revealed.

Sullivan didn’t come up with the right question to that: The question was about a car brand that debuted in 1953 with both a checkered flag and a fleur de lis and he guessed GTO instead of Corvette, but it hardly seemed to matter at that point.

We’ll be back in front of the TV set tomorrow!
