This morning, Verona Police PBA Local 72 held its ninth annual Christmas tree drive.
The event was created in 2009 by Police Sgt. Anthony Condorelli and is now coordinated by the local’s president, Mike Barone.
With assistance from Pat Filoso Jr. and his staff at Hillcrest Farms, PBA members loaded Christmas trees onto a few pickup trucks and delivered them to area families. “Hillcrest is honored and proud to support the PBA and their non-stop efforts supporting our community,” said Filoso, owner of Hillcrest Farms.
“Working together with the Verona Health Department during the holiday season is important,” said Det. TJ Conroy, alternate state delegate for local 72. “All of our members love helping people and assisting families throughout the year. This is a great event.”
