MyVeronaNJ Reader SurveyMyVeronaNJ.com was founded on December 5, 2009. We intended to make our debut at Fair in the Square, but when that got snowed out, we opted for a virtual launch, sending an email announcement to everyone we could think of.

At our launch we made a commitment to serving the new news needs of Verona, delivering information on everything from our business community to entertainment, food, government, schools, sports, real estate and more. We’ve grown from one story to nearly 8,500, and from a handful of daily readers to thousands, often living many, many miles from Verona.

More than seven years into our growth, we remain committed to delivering all the news about Verona that our readers need. We now cover not only the activities of people who live in Verona, but the careers and commitments of people who once lived in Verona wherever they are now in the world. We’ve added coverage of the men who represent Verona in Washington, and we’re getting ready to add similar coverage of our legislators in Trenton. We started our reporting in 2009 with just words and pictures, but we now cover Verona in audio and video, across a news website, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. We’re proud of all the community members who have helped with our reporting, from middle school and high school students to Verona’s retirees.

To help us plan what comes next for MyVeronaNJ.com, the journalism students of the University of Kansas’ William Allen White School of Journalism and Mass Communications have created a readership survey for us. We hope that all our readers will participate in this brief survey, to tell us what they like about our coverage–and what we can improve.

You can access the survey here. We look forward to sharing the results with you.
