Verona resident Allison Wright will be joining a panel of experts for a free college planning seminar on Monday, February 13, from 7 to 9 p.m.
“A college education is more important than ever for most to succeed now and in the future,” says Wright. “The college process has become even more complicated over the last few years, and those families and students who educate themselves about the process and all aspects of the college search will have a greater likelihood for success in college and in future careers.”
Wright is the founder of College 411, which supports families with direct counseling in all areas of college planning, including identifying schools that are the right fit, potential careers and majors, college admissions, college applications and essays, student positioning and financial aid basics. Before founding College 411, she had over 20 years of experience in building and developing talent in major corporate brands and business sectors. Wright, a graduate of Verona High School, is a member of the National Association for College Admission Counseling and is on the board of the NJ Organization Development, Learning Community.
The panel will also discuss ways to pay for college, the health and legal documents needed for college, and how to stay organized during the application process.
The event will be held at the C3 Workspace, 26 Park Street #2000, in Montclair. Attendees should park on the street and not in the C3 lot.
There is no charge for this event, but organizers are asking interested parents to RSVP to Wright at [email protected] .
