Police Seek Attempted Robbery Suspect

09232016-robberysuspectOn Friday, September 23, 2016 at approximately 6:15 a.m., a Verona resident reported that he was the victim of a strong-arm robbery attempt. This incident occurred on Pompton Avenue at Claremont Avenue.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 25 years old, approximately 5’6″ tall, wearing all black clothing.

The above picture is a sketch of the suspect that was developed with the assistance of the New Jersey State Police and the victim. Anyone who can identify the sketch is asked to contact D/Sgt. Tim Banta of the Verona Police Department Detective Bureau at (973) 857-4764
