Join Our Lady of the Lake School and parish, Verona Township and neighboring communities when OLL presents its 7th annual Kinderfest and Oktoberfest next weekend. Each event will take place under the big tent on OLL’s blacktop, behind the church at 26 Lakeside Avenue.
Kinderfest kicks off the Oktoberfest weekend on Friday, October 7, from 4 to 8 p.m. The family-friendly event is open to all ages and admission is free. Attendees can purchase tickets to enjoy a variety of rides and attractions such as the bounce house, carnival games, craft tables, Escape from Alcatraz, Amazon Extreme, Pedestal Joust, Dual Slide, Paradise Combo and the popular Dunk Tank. Kinderfest is powered by Anthony Francos, Eight Hills Catering, Tiny Elephant, The Towne Scoop and Par-T-Rex.
Oktoberfest will conclude the weekend of festivities on Saturday, October 8, from 6 to 11 p.m. The evening will include a full line-up of entertainment, full fare menu of German foods and desserts, a variety of ales and wines and all while fellowship is happening under the stars (the famous 1,600-square-foot tent). Attendees can also look forward to participating in a 50/50 raffle where in the past winners have walked away with over $2,000. There is also the opportunity to participate in this year’s tricky-tray raffle, which includes items like a diamond watch from Eloquent Essentials, New York Yankee tickets, New York Knicks tickets, Brooklyn Nets tickets, Michael Kors pocketbook and wallet, New York Islander tickets, a wine refrigerator, a grand prize of golf for four at the Montclair Golf Club ($1,000 value) and so much more.
