On Sunday, September 18, the First Presbyterian Church of Verona hosted its annual Blessing of the Animals Service on the front lawn of the church. Pets, plush friends and humans were blessed by the Rev. Lynn Rubier-Capron.

The church will be hosting several events this fall. On Sunday, October 2, at 10:15 a.m. the church will celebrate Worldwide Communion as part of the service. The service will also feature guest flutist Liz Hathaway and violinist Rev. Lynn Rubier-Capron.

On Friday, October 7, the church will host its annual Fish and Chips dinner from 6 to 8 p.m. (Take-out meals will be available at 5:30 p.m.) The cost is $15 per person and tickets can be purchased in advance at the church or at the church Thrift Shop, which is open Tuesdays 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

On Saturday, October 15, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. the church will host a craft fair. Vendors such as Paparazzi, Avon, LuLaRu, Perfectly Posh and St. Claire Crafts (to name but a few) are participating. The church kitchen will be open for lunch and snacks and there will be a special table featuring fresh baked items.
