The Verona High School softball team and VHS Softball Boosters will conduct a car wash fundraiser Saturday, August 13 in the loop in front of H.B. Whitehorne Middle School from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.
The team will be raising funds for the 2017 season, during which time the players will make their second trip to Disney World in Florida for spring training. This past April, the team travelled to Orlando to compete at the ESPN Wide World of Sports. The 220-acre facility, located inside Walt Disney World, hosts amateur and professional competitions in a variety of sports, from baseball to volleyball.
