The Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit opened a food pantry at the end of April thanks to donations from parishioners and the community. The church has since served 65 shoppers and now needs help again to restock.

The church has posted a list of the most urgently needed supplies on its website and it includes things like large bags of rice, coffee, canned fruit, as well as personal hygiene and cleaning supplies. Holy Spirit says it does not need pasta or canned soup at this time. Donations can be dropped off in a bin located just outside the parking lot door of the Church, which is located at 36 Gould Street, across from the middle school field.

If you don’t have items to donate supplies, you can also donate funds to help the church purchase low inventory items or gift cards. The Food Pantry is a ministry of the Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit and financial donations are tax deductible.

The pantry is open from 9 a.m. to noon on the fourth Saturday of every month, and the church says that anyone in need is welcome. People who need the pantry’s services can also contact the church office at [email protected] or call (973) 239-2850.
