RedDevils-Win-June2016Over Father’s Day weekend and under a blazing June sun, the Verona United Red Devils U12 soccer team secured another tournament win. Playing against two separate Montclair teams, Bloomfield, and Coastal Academy, the Red Devils conceded only one goal in each of the four games played to sweep the Montclair Match Fit Summer Kick-off 2016 Tournament.

“Congrats to the boys on another well-earned tourney win,” said Team Manager Justin Marriott. “It was really pleasing to see the level of ‘8-man’ soccer played, with all 13 players contributing. The ball was zipping about, the play was selfless, the hunger and desire to win the ball back was impressive, as was the bravery to be in possession,” he added.

The team will be involved in another two summer tournaments during the month of July. Come and support this hard-working team July 9 and 10 for STA’s Greystone Cup.
