School is just about out in Verona, which means that it’s time for the annual School’s Out Softball Tournament.
The event kicks off Friday evening and will run through the weekend, with 23 teams from both New Jersey and New York competing at three different levels at fields all over Verona. Friday and Saturday are the pool play games that determine the seeding for Sunday medal play, which is a single-elimination format. All championship games will be played at Liberty Field, which is the new turf field behind the Verona Community Center.
