Mr. Vincent P. LaStella, 62, of Verona died on May 27, 2016. A funeral mass will be offered in Our Lady of the Lake Church, Verona on Wednesday, June 1 at 10 a.m. Visiting in the Prout Funeral Home, 370 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m.
Mr. LaStella was born July 9, 1953 in Montclair, grew up in Verona and lived in Nutley for 20 years before returning to Verona in 1997.
He was the owner of Village Carpets in Vailsburg and South Orange. His greatest passion was spending time coaching his children’s baseball teams and following all of their achievements and accomplishments.
He is the father of Vincent (and his wife, Tatiana), Michael, Bobby, Katie (and her husband, Hector Rodriguez), the step father of Gwenn Frasco (and her husband, Todd) and the son of Frances (nee Tucci) and the late Vincent LaStella. He is also survived by his siblings Joseph LaStella (and his wife Linda), Susan McDonald (and her husband, John), his 2 grandsons Vincent & Daniel and his nephew Frankie McDonald.
