Sustainable Verona has secured a big discount on high-capacity rain barrels for Verona residents and if you want to get one–at roughly half off retail price–you need to order yours today.
The 50-gallon barrels would normally cost $149 but Sustainable Verona is offering them for $73. Sustainable Verona is a relatively part of Verona’s environmental programs. Part of a statewide effort called Sustainable New Jersey, its mission is to lessen the environmental impact of all of us living here and help Verona to win grants for more environmental programs.
You need to order your barrel by May 15, and then you can pick it up at the Verona Green Fair on Saturday May 21, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Rain barrels are a way for you to save the rain that would otherwise run right off your roof. You can collect it in your rain barrel and use it as needed, which keeps excess runoff out of the municipal storm drain system and excess moisture away from your foundation.
