Winkler-SundaySupperCianna Winkler, a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Verona helps prepare Sunday Supper meals, a community outreach program founded by Cianna, Beverly Winkler and Eileen Kuhn.

The Sunday Supper program provides meals to those in need identified by local social service agencies on the first Sunday of every month. Preparation and meal planning are planned months in advance to purchase items on sale and store. A volunteer crew cooks well balanced, nutritionally sound meals on Saturdays and delivers the hot meal on Sunday afternoon. Recipients are either in need financially or home-bound and would not eat on Sunday without this assistance. Generous portions provide two meals for many. The most special part about Sunday Supper is that these are meals many would prepare for their families.

Donations and volunteers are critically needed to continue serving those in need. The program runs through financial donations only and will be having a bar-b-que fundraiser on May 22.

For further information on how you can help or about the upcoming bar-b-que, please contact the church at 973-239-3561
