It’s National Library Week, and that means fine amnesty at the Verona Public Library and lots of special activities.
The Library kicked off the week with a repeat of its memoir-writing workshop on Sunday. Today (Wednesday, April 13), the Verona Public Library will be hosting a cupcake-decorating challenge for teens and tweens after school.
On Friday, April 15, at 1 p.m., there will be a free screening of Meredith Willson’s classic movie The Music Man. On Saturday at 11 a.m., there will be a family springtime craft.
National Library Week also marks the start of a new 26-week cycle in the the Verona Public Library’s “Story Time” program that will feature learning a letter of the alphabet every week. Studies have shown that babies as young as two are able to recognize a few letters. Why not begin learning the ABC’s in Story Time, where learning is guaranteed to be a fun experience? Songs and stories will also be shared. There’s no cost for this program and no registration required.
