Mrs. Eleanor G. Dormont (nee Milligan),100, passed away on March 19, 2016 in Montclair.
Born in Newark, Mrs. Dormont was raised in South Orange and resided in Maplewood, New Providence and West Orange prior to moving to Verona in 2013.
She earned a bachelor of arts degree from Middlebury College and taught English, Latin and French at Maplewood Junior High School where she met her husband, Paul Dormont to whom she was married for 56 years. Mrs. Dormont was a lifelong member of the Delta Delta Delta Sorority.
She was the mother of Paul E. Dormont and Dorothy Dormont Ostella (Ralph) and grandmother of Steven P. Ostella.
Visiting will be in the Prout Funeral Home, 370 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona on Monday, March 21 from 5 to 8 p.m., with a funeral service to be held at 7:30 p.m.
