Donations are beginning to fill the shelves at the new Food Pantry at Holy Spirit.
On Thursday, March 3 at 7:30 p.m. the Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit in Verona is inviting church members and non-church members to gather in its Fellowship Hall to learn about its planned Food Pantry.

The church, which is located at 36 Gould Street just across from the field at H.B. Whitehorne Middle School, hopes to initially open the Food Pantry once a month, beginning on the fourth Saturday in April, and will need many hands to make light work. If you have questions, please email [email protected]. After the presentation on March 3, all attendees will be given a tour of the planned Food Pantry space.

In January, Holy Spirit parishioner Mary Garland wrote on MyVeronaNJ about growing up hungry and why there is a need for a Food Pantry now in Verona. You can read her story here.

Non-perishable foods will be available to anyone from the Holy Spirit Food Pantry. If there is need before April, call (973) 239-2850 or email o[email protected]. Inquiries will be kept confidential.
