A House With Baseball Magic?

Date:

Share post:

BaseballMagicFred and Evelyn Hill moved to Verona more than four decades ago and raised a family that has shaped the town in education, business and sports. (Mrs. Hill was also our town clerk for a while.) During that time, Coach Hill amassed a record of 1,089 victories in college baseball at Montclair State and Rutgers University. When the Scarlet Knights retired his jersey in May 2014, they noted that, in 30 years at Rutgers, Hill guided its baseball team to 11 NCAA regional appearances, 12 regular season conference championships and eight conference tournament titles.

So, if you have a budding baseball star in your family, and you believe in baseball magic, you might want to know that the Hills have listed their Verona house for sale this weekend. It’s a big one by Verona standards, with four bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms. It’s also got a family room addition that Mrs. Hill dubbed the “Queen room”, and it’s located on a fairly quiet street in the Laning Avenue elementary school district.

Here’s what else is happening in Verona real estate this weekend:
