In real estate, tradition has it that there’s a seller’s market and a buyer’s market. There may, however, be a third state, one that we’d like to call a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it market. That’s where we seem to be in Verona real estate right now.
Realtors are scrambling for listings and, almost before the “for sale” sign is pounded into the front lawn, they are gone. That’s the case with 18 Newman Avenue, which was new to the market just two weeks ago, is already under contract.
There’s only one new listing this week, but it’s a big one. A 2,192 square-foot condo in one of the Claridge towers. They haven’t generally been thought of as a place for families with children (the towers are both in the Laning Avenue elementary school district), but this apartment is larger than many of the single-family homes in Verona.
There are no open houses, and no Verona listings with price changes.
